Manchester United, a prestigious club in European football
A professional football club based in Trafford, Greater Manchester, England. It was founded as Newton Heath LYR F.C. It was renamed Manchester United F.C. on 26 April 1902, and in 1910 it moved its home stadium from Bank Street northeast of Manchester City to Old Trafford southwest of the city.
It is currently the most prestigious club in the top professional football league in England and the only club in England to have achieved treble.
Manchester United is currently the most successful club in English football history, with Liverpool winning a total of 13 league titles over 21 years, including the 1998/99 season treble, after the creation of the English First Division in 1992.
Manchester United, which has become such a huge club today, started in 1878 from a small club created by middle-class workers from the Newton Heath branch of Lancashire Yorkshire during recess. Newton Heath LYR F.C. (Newton Heath LYR F.C.) was renamed Manchester United on 26 April 1902.
After being promoted to the First Division in 1906, he won his first league title in 1908, and won the FA Cup the following year. In 1911, he won his second league title, and in the 1950s, he became a strong player in the football league, winning three league titles. This was a time when the club's legendary coach, Matt Busby, went beyond England to the European stage and sought European domination. However, on his way back home from the 1958 Europa Cup match in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, a plane carrying the squad crashed in Munich, which was a stopover. The massive accident, known as the Munich plane disaster, effectively destroyed the then-victory squad.
However, Matt Busby, who survived the worst accident, began rebuilding the team, led by Bobby Charlton, who was also one of the surviving players. The league's performance continued to fluctuate over the years after the accident, but in 1963 George Best was hired to build The United Trinity (Bobby Charlton, Dennis Law, George Best) and finally won the league title seven years after the 1965 Munich disaster. In the 1967-68 season, he finally defeated Benfica led by Eugébio in the Europa Cup final and finally reached the top of Europe 10 years after the Munich disaster.
Manchester United briefly faltered after the retirement of great leader Matt Busby, but Alex Ferguson, who took over as coach in 1986, created another myth. Alex Ferguson quickly rebuilt the team, and after the creation of the Premier League in 1992, he literally dominated the league and opened the Manchester United dynasty.
Since the launch of the Premier League, Manchester United have never fallen below third place until the 2012–2013 season, and have become the EPL club that has made the most successful move to lift the trophy 12 times in 19 seasons. In the 2012-2013 season, he became the first English club to win 20 championships.
In the 1998–99 season, a team led by youth players called Ferguson's Children[1] defeated Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League in the final, winning Europe for the second time in club history. It was a dramatic victory, dubbed Camp Nou's miracle, and the English League, which was far from the center of European football at the time, returned to the center of European football. This season, Manchester United won all three major UEFA Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup tournaments, becoming the first English club to achieve a treble.
Arsene Wenger's Arsenal, who took part in European football, and Roman Abramovich's capital, Chelsea, who recruited Jose Mourinho, the most notable young manager in Europe, regained their league title after four years in the 2006–07 season, winning their third UEFA Champions League title. 사설토토
Ferguson later resigned and retired after winning his 20th league title in the 2012–13 season. Since then, David Moyes, Louis van Gaal, and Jose Mourinho have taken over as coaches one after another. Much investment was made during this period, but the team suffered from inadequate recruitment of players and lack of managerial and tactical skills. Under Jose Mourinho, he won the Europa League, League Cup and Community Shield in the 2016-17 season, and later achieved second place in the league in the 2017-18 season, but his past glory was not enough. At the same time, Manchester City began to lead the league thanks to UAE's capital, and Chelsea and Leicester City took the trophy. After Jose Mourinho's replacement, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the team's legend, took over as coach during the 2019-20 season, and later tried to recreate the glory of the past, including second place in the league and second place in the Europa League through continuous rebuilding, but was replaced with a poor performance in the league, and Ralph Laurence took over as interim manager.
